Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Although the O2's power department is a bit short, but will certainly give you a good glimpse of what these are capable of :)
There's probably no difference between the two. Just pick the one with the better price or looks better to you.
If you haven't bought either yet, think about an ODAC+O2 combo. It has a built in DAC in the same form factor.
My Schiit Magni 2 did bring about a small improvement though. Up to you whether it is worth an extra $100.
I see Schiit as quantity over quality. They output loads of power, but fall short in the quality department. Listening to a Schiit Modi/Magni side by side to a ODAC+O2 combo, the difference is slight with the combo sounding more natural.
To get the most out of the HD6XX, Schiit Jot on balanced, or a Valhalla would suffice. But for the same price I'd look into a Violectric or Lake People. Audio-gd is the better option, but it's a lot more expensive.
Schiit market themselves well, they have a crazy following with people who haven't sampled much variety. Thus you'll get more recommendation for Schiit than anything else on forums.

Or this, which I'm leaning toward. I own Emotiva gear and can attest that it is the real deal:
