Just received my HD 6XX (Serial 2357) to Australia, powered by a Schiit Magni 2 amp, these headphones aren't as bass heavy as something like the AKG M/K200 series or the Koss PortaPro, but the mids on these headphones really shine with the hour and a half that i've spent listening to Random Access Memories (Daft Punk), Starboy (The Weeknd) & Awaken My Love (Childish Gambino) albums. These headphones don't hide anything which is an extremely good thing for a pair worth this money. On an extremely well mixed album you will appreciate these cans. (Daft Punk especially) .
The Midnight Blue/Stealth Black paint job on these headphones is an excellent coloring choice by Massdrop & Sennheiser and will maintain these headphones as a limited release and should be seen in person. The packaging is extremely nice with the headphones being contained in foam within a large dark fabric covered hard box with hinges.
The cable length, is a bit on the small side, I think it's around 1.7m long but Sennheiser sell the 3m cable with the 6.5mm plug for around $25 AUD on their online spares store. So if you're using an amp with a 1/4 jack it's easy to get a cable to fit without using the provided adapter.
All in all, besides the ordering issues. Considering these headphones (HD650) are worth $450AUD+ in Australia, to get a pair of these with Sennheisers full international warranty for under $300 AUD is an extremely good deal.
So thank you Massdrop, good job.

hao7Mine has been showing New York, NY, US - TRANSPORT TO DESTINATION COUNTRY since December 14. No sign of it ever been received by USPS or Australia Post for transport. Massdrop isn't answering my query.

alvianmight be the holidays messing with the delivery times, I don't mind it being late as long as they don't lose the package. someone commented here earlier saying the support from MD claimed that it can take up to 3-6 weeks. I guess we'll have to wait.

hao7DHL tracking is useless. It hasn't updated since December 14, but this morning I received my headphones. I immediately checked DHL tracking and once again there was no update about the package. This evening it suddenly updated to Dec 30: ARRIVED AT DESTINATION COUNTRY and Jan 3: DELIVERED.
Unbelievably, USPS tracking is worse. These are the only two entries for this delivery: December 14, 2016 - Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS, USPS Awaiting Item January 3, 2017 - Delivered
Australia Post tracking has no entry at all.
