Hey mass drop can you tell the people who make these to use better plastic or use leather straps. Because the plastic has cracks in it already and one side has failed after 7 months.
CapitalistCatNot rough use and thanks for censoring my response massdrop i see you didnt offer a response to these broken parts or offer to replace them.
CapitalistCatNot rough I just came back from testing a pair that a friend had and both sides cracked. It's a major issue they need to fix but seem to be ignoring.
awi5951Both sides of mine have gone after a year almost, only ever used on this PC and handled well, I have European made 712 pro's and the clear plastic feels slightly softer, more flexible and no signs of wear on them.
awi5951A good deal at the moment in the UK/EU £180-190 delivered next day for 712pro's on amazon and Ebay although I do still love the 7XX's for day to day use. Even with the broken clear sliders they are more comfortable than most headphones.
AyohellWhat do you think of the sound difference. It seems that the 712pros have more detail in music but gives up on some bass. Do you feel the same way?
CapitalistCatDont worry about it too much. After i looked closer at the headphones that plastic serves as a glider to make them move more smoothly. The leather strap will still hold them together as long as that plastic rivet in the plastic doesnt come loose. Now if those elastic bands break or dry out we are all in trouble lol i would not keep them in a hot or very cold area like leaving them in your car.
awi5951I would say that was true of the 702's compared to the 7xx's, more high end detail slightly and less bass but the 712pro have better bass and even more detail across the whole range compared to both as well as the higher build quality.
