20 years from dish washer to sous chef.
The Nakiri is one of the best balanced Nakiri knives I have ever used, I would have loved Santoku instead of the chef knife, then I would probably never need another knife for vegetable prep ever again. A little extra care is need to properly clean around the tang, but I would prefer that to a bulky hilt that hinders my blade control.

Very cool and well made knives
Love the kitchen knives. I wish the larger knife matched the style of the smaller knives. They're still excellent. And better than any store bought knives I've ever tried.

The price seemed fair considering what was offered. All knives came with a great edge and good build quality. The Takumi knives are beautiful and a blast to use. I wish I’d have read individual reviews on the Vital (my own fault), because it’s the black sheep of the lot. Something must be off with the heat treat because after only about 2 weeks of very light use, gentle cleaning and thorough drying, the Vital was already developing rust spots. It’s a good all-rounder kitchen blade otherwise. I’m still glad I bought the set for the Takumis but it’s not the great value I thought it’d be.
