Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I suspect that certain other Massdrop members had the same issue.
If you offer the ZDT Jr. again at some point after Christmas, I predict you'll get at least as many participants as you did in the initial drop. I know that I'll be one of them.
Why? 1) April/May 2018 drop with confirmed shipment by June 26 2018 is much more attractive compared to currently estimated 7 month long wait. 2) April/May 2018 is much more reasonable than November 2017 for this kind of drop given the fact people are mostly focused on Christmas gifts now (for others or themselves). 3) By April/May 2018, more impressions of the amp will be available online. Apart from other potential opportunities to hear the amp, I am at least aware of the fact that an official loaner was provided currently to SBAF that will be heard by at least 20 different people in upcoming weeks.
Of course, it is up to Massdrop to decide what makes sense to them.
The bad news is that we're born to suffer and die, but that's part of the audiophile experience. By the way, if necrophile means what we imagine it must, then why in Scrod's name would anyone want to be described as an audiophile? Do we really want to walk in on a friend writhing around on the carpet with an OTL tube amp pressed against their pelvis?
