Hey seeing if anyone has a solution to my problem. When my falcon is closed, it has free play back and forth in the motion used to open and close the blade, like it budges a tiny bit before actually opening. It feels as if the detent ball on the lock bar insert is too small for the hole in the blade. Don't think this is normall, the blade shouldn't wiggle at all when closed right? It's weird that it happens when the blade is perfectly centered; when I loosen the pivot and the blade strongly favors the solid scale, it tends to go away.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Dhill21Sounds like the detent ball Isn’t seating in the hole completely... ive Had this happen on other knives when the frame lock bent and no longer line up correctly to meet the detent hole in the blade, causing it to rock back and forth a lil when closed

Dhill21So did you file a warranty claim with MD? Sounds like you need a new lockbar insert.

BflyingI sent them a help message 2 weeks ago, haven’t heard a thing. I did some adjustments and it’s a little better but the knife never had the smoothest action for one with ball bearing pivots (my Benchmade griptilial is only on washers and it’s way smoother). Oh well

Dhill21I'd keep trying. That doesn't sound right. This knife is a very smooth flipper when there are no issues. Send them another help ticket. Make sure it's done through the transactions page, and on the actual item.

BflyingOk I think I was having issues with my email. They are going to send me a replacement and a prepaid label. No questions asked , that’s pretty cool
