Price drop, but I still think a bit overpriced. Under 6 bills is the number for this to move...

Motorradthe dealer cost is roughly the same. the mark-ups are up to the dealers, including Massdrop (which isn't always the cheapest)

tunejunkyI think market says loud and clear that this thing is still overpriced even after they dropped the price. I got killed for stating that it was priced to high back then they started selling them... But hey i has been what few months and they still can't sell a thousand units... They sold what 10000-5000 Senns the first day or fist hour... These might be super great, but they need to go down to 500 to make it attractive for Massdrop customers.

ld100you may be right about the sales. idk about that as i haven't been tracking them.
but i'll state categorically and for the record that there is nothing close sound wise (for an audiophile). Sennheiser is more widely known....but then again so is Bose.
Massdrop customers *should* know *value*. price doesn't always jibe with value, and these headphones are a *value* under $1,000.00

tunejunkyActually from my research there are very mixed opinions regarding this particular model. I heard good things and I heard bad things. One thing for sure these are not Clears. So value here might be very questionable.
I did test Elears and Clears and I would not hesitate to purchase Clears and think twice pulling trigger on Elears. Clears worth every dollars. Elears sound good, but there are things that I am not sure I like.
