Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

All the HiFiMan headphones I've owned where much better (HE-400, HE-400i, HE-500 even the HE-350 I'd prefer over the M560). The M560 are only one of two pair of headphones I've ever ended up returning before my two week window was up.
Bass was lacking, and the vocals nice but harsh. Clamp was also too light and they would fall off too easily you lean forward or back more than a little.
Zreviews has a sound test up on his channel as well people can judge for themselves.
I've had or still have all those headphone you mentioned and liked them all better. Even the M50X which I wasn't of fan of and they are the other headphone I sent back.
I saw two video reviews that where positive, Z and DMS3, but after getting them I was very disappointed. I them checked the forums and found many other felt the same (wish I check sooner).
I know different people have different taste, but I find it hard to believe people like what I heard. Others have mentioned lean bass too. So either we have vastly different taste and ideas of what bass is or there is a consistency problem with the M560.
I don't know what to say. I just wanted to give a different perspective as my experience was different.
I don't found the sound comparisons useful because I'm listening the output of the headphone Z is sampling through my headphones, so it going to sound like what my headphone make his headphones sound.
I may one day order a new pare and see they are better than my first pair. Not that I really need anymore headphone.
That's my experience.
