Why do people continue to comment on how things sound "out of the box" when surely anyone coming to an "audiophile community" knows that burn in would take at least a couple of DAYS of use and preferably 100 hours? Oh well, the age of social media has made everyone an expert. Even me...

ozpomfromhellNot saying I disagree (i do burn-in my headphones/iems). However, not everyone agrees with that plus many non-audiophiles are going to decide if they like something or not from the out of the box point, so that viewpoint is valid to post IMO.

ozpomfromhellBecause burn ins is a sham. You are burning in the idea that it will sound good after X number of days rather than anything of note changing.

YodastienI play music through them for a few days at low-medium volume. Others have specific like white noise sounds they use though. I honestly dont know if it makes a difference but i come from car audio where u need to break subwoofers in or you can blow them out easier.
