Lightweight and very packable—it fits right into my water bottle pocket! Complete deflation takes a bit more time than I would have guessed but the surprising comfort and small packed size makes everything about it worthwhile. A highly recommended purchase for anyone looking for a low-cost, highly comfortable sleeping pad.

I bought a Massdrop Klymit Static V last year, as a replacement for my trusty ThermaRest Z-Fold. I avoided inflatables because I liked the fold-and-go of the Z-fold, as well as the fact that it’s essentially bullet proof. I took a chance on the Static V because of the price. I was looking for something to keep me warmer, and I certainly didn’t mind the additional comfort. I am thrilled with the Static V. I’ve used on on several winter weekend trips and I slept much better.I did have a deflation problem. It was a very slow leak that would usually have me near, but not on the ground by morning. I couldn’t find the leak no matter despite every trick I know from fixing bike tubes. I contacted Klymit for tips, which they very helpfully provided, but no luck. They offer a lifetime warranty, so I shipped it back and had a repaired pad 10 days later. I can highly recommend their product.

Great pad so far, maybe 15 nights out since I got it, mostly backpacking but also a couple of smaller bike tours. Slept well down to 15 deg with my down bag. For the price and the weight it is unbeatable! I will say I am very careful to clear the ground of sharp objects, I have had many inflatable mats spring a hole. Packs down super small. Comes with a patch kit in case it leaks. It is meant to be light weight, and if you are used to light weight equipment it can be more fragile...but with a little care mine has held up well.

Very fragile. Took it camping in a bivvy bag and had a fresh leak every night for 7 days. It never stayed up. I had bought it for my daughter who ended up with my prolite while I was on the floor. It is now in the bin.

Great pad for the price, BUT the valve feels really cheap and usually requires fiddling to maximIze flow. Slow to inflate, very slow to delete. Pros: insulated version very warm. Relatively light. Comfy. Cons: cheap and fiddly valve. Slow to inflate, very very slow to deflate. Slippery surface. EDIT: bumped it down two stars because the valve has gotten worse over time. It feels like I'm blowing through a straw. There are way, way better valves out there. Klymit uses better valves on all their new pads, so don't waste your money on this one. EDIT AGAIN: pad has developed a slow leak. By the morning the thing is flat. I've tried submerging it any squeezing and looking for bubbles, but I still can't find the leak. I'd say the thing is pretty dead.

super light, but has always leaked. This is the third trip I’ve used it on, and it has struck out each time. I guess I kept it, because I thought inflating it once during the night was worth it. Tonight was a “two inflator”, and I just can’t deal anymore.

Valve was defective on mine...very cheap plastic. Klymit didn't have a similar model to replace it with in stock so ended up doing a refund through massdrop which took longer than one may expect.

With minimal use the pad started loosing air wihtin the first year. I tried to submerge it and find a hole and yet found no such hole. I had to send it back to Klymit who stated after trying to repair it the pad was beyond repair. They did send me a replacement so 5-Star customer service for Klymit, but only 3 stars for this pad.

A little disappointed at this product.
I own two Klymit Pads (Insulated and Static V2 Ultralight) and this one is a definite downgrade for me. Both of the regular pads I currently own are great, and I will continue using those and not this. I have a couple huge problems with this one.
1) Since it is named Klymit Static UL I assumed the dimensions would be the same, however it is 3 inches smaller in width. That extra 3 inches in width means a huge difference for me as I am a wide built (athletic male). It is the difference between freezing cold arms and legs during the night. This is admittedly part of my fault. I should have looked at the description, however I assumed since it had the same product name and just Massdrop branding it would be the same. Maybe it's the same version as the Static V1 UL? Who knows...
2) The material is REALLY slick. Also a big negative for me. I toss and turn in my sleep and the pad tends fall out from under me, once every hour or so. This leaves me cold and with a really bad night of sleep. That sticky coating doesn't really make a difference with this material. Too slippery for me.
Sure it's lightweight and packs down small, but I wish I wouldn't have purchased it. I'd rather stick to my V2 Static UL or Insulated version. It might work for others, but it is a huge downgrade for me. Wish I could return it.
