Is this legal for me to walk and ride the bus with it in my pocket for protection? If it's legal?thanks, Ray
MikeySpThere are several websites with knife laws broken down by state if you are in the US. There may be additional local laws at a city or county level depending on where you live. Knifeup.com is a good place to start. Some localities have length limits, some ban locking blades etc. What's fine in Texas can get you thrown in jail in Boston. Legality aside, unless you are trained, a knife isn't a great self defense weapon. You can hurt yourself if you don't know what you are doing or using a blade not designed for the task. This particular knife does not appear to be designed with self defense as a primary or even secondary purpose. If you want to carry a blade for defense, I would first seek training, then determine what would best fit.

MikeySpA knife especially one like this is a tool above all else, not a weapon. Seldom would you use it for protection and it would not be good for protection. If you need a good self defense in a sketchy area, pepper spray will kick anyone on their ass long enough to get away.
