I have never purchased raw denim. I have a 26" waist. Is it safe for me to buy a 28 in these jeans and have them tailored immediately?
Also does anyone know if the color from these jeans bleeds into other clothing or furniture?

mukrameshThat's going to have to be one hell of a tailor...
The dye on these will probably rub off a little bit more than you would see from typical jeans, look up vinegar soaking for raw denim, it will help set the dye before you wear/wash

dead_pixel_designSince these are sanforized, it reasonable to expect less dye bleeding?
And same question regarding tailoring, since there should be less question about sizing due to the jeans having already been washed.

mukrameshSabforization wont impact the dye. The jeans will stretch with wear more than they will shrink from washing, sanforization really only helps to mitigate the shrinking, and you're already looking at 4 inches of extra room around the waist before you get them tailored. But a good denim guy for the tailoring and some white vinegar will go a long way I think
