LeaveMeAloneTelling their wife/girlfriend why they couldn’t make their rent or car payment this month would be interesting... Or they will use their secret fund aka the mistress fund to pay for these. But seriously for this price why not get one of the many expensive headphones for this price not iems

RareAirsYou should be calculating the cost per use of any item that you purchase. If you're listening to music several hours per day, that $900 is probably a better purchase, especially if this is your endgame IEM, than buying that new iPhone that you'll replace next year.

RareAirsThere are areas of the world where a large population do not own cars and rely solely on public mass transit systems, bus, trains, subways, sky rails etc.
If one wants great sound & and great portability, iems are the answer

TheDocI don’t think anything is wrong with an iem for portable use but there are plenty of amazing iems under $400. plus why can’t you travel with closed back headphones for less with amazing sound or you could go the consumer route that are amazing for travel especially airplanes from my experience with the Sony 1000x noise cancelling for $300 but have a fun sound not reference by any means but save that for the comfort of your home

RareAirsI used to spend a couple of thousand per year just on cigarettes before I quit... That literally just went up in smoke. I'm not on 250k per year either...

RareAirsHahaha I'm an international student in the US with zero income and I bought these. I also own Focal Utopias, Jh Layla Customs, Shure se846, Chord Mojo and Chord Hugo 2. But yeah I'm also an audio engineer.

NigzThe 250k was an exaggeration but yeah that is a good point for smokers I guess. But imo if Im going to spend $900+ for amazing sound quality I would go with a headphone over an iem
