I am a simple guy, I listen to music occasionally on phone during my way to work or from work. I do however play a lot of games on my pc and have audio technica ath-m50xbl which I love. So I am thinking to buy these so my ears would feel the same good audio I hear on my pc but this means I will need a DAC? Is that correct? I would love to know if these are at a good value since I never owned a pair more than 20$.

RuslanThese are GUARANTEED to sound infinitely better than the shoddy $20 earphones you use. Also, no, a DAC isn't needed BUT it will most definitely enhance your listening experience. Seeing how these are IEMs, they shouldn't be hard to drive so your phone and PC should suffice. At $250USD and a 'supposedly' better sound signature than the Savant (according to Jude's preference), I would call these a steal.

DemTunesDoeThe only and main usage willbe on my phone which is currently Sony Xperia Z3 , I would love however to full enjoy these, means I need a DAC. Any suggestions ? Actually I'm thinking to buy that Noble mic cable, how would that work with DAC?

RuslanHonestly, I would recommend using these without a DAC. Most 'decent' DACs will cost you ALMOST the same price as this IEM if not more. However, if you're that interested in a DAC, i'd recommend you checking out the Audioquest Dragonfly Line or the CEntrance DACPort Slim (only available here on Massdrop). Note: if you're using a DAC with your phone, a separate cable is required to connect the phone to the DAC.

HansenI wouldn't doubt that for a second but listen to any 'real' IEM and compare the two. Worlds apart, man. Worlds apart.

Ruslancheck the chipset on the z3, usually sony phones carry good dacs so they can power most iems/cans to sound good (not best mind you). chipsets in phones do matter, you can differentiate the quality between them.

DemTunesDoeNo doubt about that an audiophile grade IEM sure makes the difference... :)

RuslanYeah I wouldn't stress about getting a DAC, all of my higher priced iems usually sounded quite good out of my iPhone 6 Plus and sound a little better out of my 7 plus with the lightning cable. Also I would agree that Sony usually has better quality chipsets than most phone manufalectures. As for the cable I've had mixed results using a mic cable with extrenal portable DACs, I would say it probably won't work.
