Debuting in a limited edition of 50 sets, the Massdrop x Noble X is now available in a Wizard Edition universal featuring a material aptly referred to as Black Diamond. Nicknamed the Wizard for the magic he creates, Dr. John Moulton has been delighting the audiophile community with beautiful, great-sounding in-ear monitors for almost a decade. With the convenience of a universal and the finish of a custom IEM, all Wizard IEMs are assembled and sculpted by the Wizard himself, designated by the iconic signature engraved on every piece. The Massdrop x Noble X Wizard Edition IEMs draw inspiration from the Savanna, Savant, and Django models. They feature the precise craftsmanship and quality the company is known for, plus a sound signature all their own: fun, punchy, musical, and engaging, with a solid bass presence.
Note: This drop is limited to 50 sets. For an additional $40, you can add the Noble Lightning cable or the Noble 2.5mm TRRS balanced cable.
Followers of Noble know that Wizard IEMs are all completely unique, one-off pieces, and these 50 sets of the Massdrop x Noble X Wizard Edition are no different. This is due not only to the handcrafted nature of the IEMs, but also the Wizard’s application of naturally occurring and other unique materials produced at random, which he first pioneered years ago. Inside the Massdrop x Noble X, there are two proprietary balanced armature drivers—one for the mids and highs, and the other for the lows—with a reconfigured vented port on the bass driver for increased extension and a slight lift in overall bass response. These IEMs are sensitive enough for use with smartphones, portable amps, and digital audio players.
Measuring 50 inches long, the detachable braided cable ends in a ⅛-inch gold-plated plug and features an unusual shrink-wrapped cable guide that is more comfortable than traditional memory wire. As optional accessories, the Noble cable is available in Lightning and 2.5-millimeter balanced terminations as well.
