Decided to join this drop after I recently obtained a vintage HD250 linear II and found how much better I enjoyed that tuning over the 6xx and read about how Sennheiser gradually shifted towards a darker\warmer sound. They say that shift started with the 580 but I'm curious to hear what this tweaked version will bring. I liked the bass and full bodied sound that the 6xx had but that "veil" is real and the HD250 made it so apparent. Makes me wonder why Sennheiser decided to change their tuning.
