Just bought these last night with an Antlion ModMic5 from Amazon. Now I need a DAC/AMP. Is the G6 the best option as this is for PS4 competitive gaming? Wasn't sure if there was a cheaper/better deal that'll work just as well as the G6. Saw some on here but have yet research that yet. Gotta get one soon as BO4 comes next Friday so Ill literally be setting my headset up as soon as the game is out. Thanks.

jwhoI haven't personally used this one but the mayflower electronics arc seems to be a good option as a amp/dac combo. It works with console & pc seems to be very well reviewed by most people

Gotown_RebelYea I was going with that or G6 but went with G6 because its some specifically for video games. And there also supposedly going to be intergrating and updating software updates for console so you can set profiles like you can om PC

jwhoNice. Hopefully it works as well as advertised. Music sounds great on it & the Soundstage & imaging seems to be good as well. Very interested in your opinion once you test them

Gotown_RebelAlso I've had the modmic 4 for over a year & it's been great so I'm pretty confident you'll have no issues there. I'll play some games of gears of war today to really see how good the imaging is for footsteps & positional awareness

Gotown_RebelSwitched audio output to Dolby instead of linear and fixed that so far. Bout to play first game and see how it is

jwhoMe neither but I agree the headphone itself is worth it. Has a surprising amount of bass & overall good sound. Really good for gaming thus far to whether you play competitive fps or solo games. If the G6 was able to efficiently drive my argon mk3 I would jump all over it especially for that price

jwhoDo you need an amp for the 58x to sound loud on console? Or is it fine without it?
