Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Thank you and a thumbs up for agreeing!
Conversely, the HD 6XX came with a serial number, designating the uniqueness of each pair. They also cost a lot more. If everyone could easily afford one, it would undermine part of my desire of having one. These are the type of headphones audiophile snobs chase; they also require an expensive amp to general run well: flooding the market with them might drive down their reviewer rating as a result.
I only bothered to reply to the original comment because I thought it was distasteful to be begging for the HD6XX in a discussion for the PC37X. My comment came out a bit snide perhaps; apologies to others.
Lastly, as per pink headphones, I don't see the problem there actually. While it might sound like I was joking, in reality I think something really different would be welcomed. A slightly different shade of black is kind of boring, while something very different would be kinda awesome.
@MusicFuelsYourSoul FWIW, there has been at least one additional 6XX drop after the original but I think those were extras(about 1500 was the limit of which 400 or so were sold iirc) ordered by Massdrop from the first drop or ones that were unclaimed so this my not be the last.
As per uniqueness, I'll take whatever I can get. A sticker is better than nothing, but as you said -- you were disappointed that it was just a sticker and not laser-etched. Clearly people value a sense of uniqueness. These HD 6XX are likely the most expensive headphones I will own, and as my flagship cans, I'm hoping I can find every reason to be proud of them.
Ultimately though -- it won't ruin my day whatever Massdrop does. I'm having my fun either way; I just have a preference.
it won't ruin your day but would ruin other's days if there wont be another hd6xx drop. its not really a preference to be selfish. just dickish really.
I live in the UK so not only do I have a higher shipping rate but also pay clearance on items. It is a CHOICE. I choose to enjoy Massdrop and its items.
I just politely request that people do not let a minority ruin it for the majority!
Thumbs up for some support ladies & gents would be appreciated!
