This is an outstanding steel, and of course a quality product being from Spyderco. I took one star off only because it is a little thicker overall than my previous EDC which is a Spyderco H1 Pacific Salt. It's also a little heavier.
This knife quickly became my most used knife. I used it extensively when I was camping over the summer and used it a lot at work. The blade is perfect, the edge retention is great, it is very lightweight and it just looks really cool with the gold on the handle.
Surprisingly light weight, amazingly sharp out of the box, solid locking with back style release. Opens with ease; no assistance needed. Yes, a knife in the traditional style of Spyderco. Very happy with the purchase.
