cs85b03This is a major reason why I'm I'm ordering through my LGS. I know they won't stiff me and cancel the order to try and squeeze more cash out it.
You would think I would have learned from pre ordering iconic disaster. But no I pre ordered iconic disaster 2.0 at 183. I have only opened six packs and haven't gotten a single card worth more then two dollars. I'm scared to open any more and find out if I really did flush all my money down the drain or not. I just love opening packs way to much.
GivethemairI don't know enough about this stuff, but I've picked up pre-order and after pre-order boxes. I've always felt like I got better card draws from the pre-order. It could just be random and my luck. Or maybe the whole thing is just a sign of patience vs diehard collectors. If there is no real difference between prerelease and afterwards, if you don't need the new cards asap it makes sense to wait for the price to come down!
It's weird that people are paying so much for a set that is almost exactly price value in cards as iconic masters which you can now easily get for around $130
