If you are using Induction don't buy these, just fyi. They wont' work with induction. Their video calls for using an "interface" disc which is a very bad idea as 1) the disc heats up, not the pan, and most of those discs are cheap... and 2) you are essentially turning your induction cooker into a heating element by using a disc which defeats the entire purpose. You'd be better off with something like the All-Clad copper core stuff if you need copper and induction.
I agree the pics are terrible but you can see some better ones on their website. Same set is double the price on Amazon. Looks like a rare home run by the boys at Massdrop. I love the handles and with a lifetime guarantee it seems like it's a great value. In my experience with cookware you really do get what you pay for, gonna pop on these.
The point being is that you really shouldn't have to go to the manufacturers site to get a decent photo, or photos that show scale, or accurate information. It's just laziness. It's not growing pains.... Massdrop has been around now for a long time, since 2012.
SantiagoDracoIf you're looking for someone to stick up for Massdrop, you've got the wrong number. Many of my comments about them have been less than flattering (I'm lucky they still let me on the site ;- )
When I say growing pains, I mean the usual crap that comes with a company growing to, and becoming the size, MD is. This particular category may not be well staffed, all companies deal with turnover. The vendor may not have supplied what they were supposed to (pics and specs). Who knows? What I can tell you is that no company goes out of their way to do a piss-poor job of selling $600 pots and pans, intentionally! I'm guessing if you're not satisfied, they're not either. Fortunately for me, I don't need any pots and pans just now, so I'm less affected by the issue.
On the other hand, I've been waiting quite a while for a certain set of headphones, and while I'm not happy about that, I can say MD has made an effort to get things on track (for me, and about 50,000 other guys looking for the same item). In the end, most of will be happy but their will always be exceptions. Just imagine how the guy at Mauviel feels--he's only sold one set so far!
