Product Description
Holding the Mauviel M’Heritage frying pan, it’s immediately apparent the craftsmanship that went into it. It’s hefty, to be sure—but that heft is part of why it retains heat so well Read More

Not sure if this is normal for a brand new pan. The pan looks like a used item. Sent a email to Massdrop few days ago but there is no response

To anyone wanting nice thick copper cookware for way less than Mauviel charges check out Falk. I have 12 of their pot/pans and love them. I can't tell any performance difference between my Falk and 2.5mm Mauviel pans. Just wanted to help people out.

Well, I must admit, I haven't used it, but I would think they way they did it, making a hard line crease between the bottom and side walls, it would give issues with pan-flipping (both for normal ingredients and for something like a pancake). Does it not? That said, the only copper I own is Falk, I just have Demeyere fry pans instead.

marlinspikeMe pan flip something lol, that would lead to a disaster. I have not used it like that so I have no idea if it works or not, but for "normal" cooking it's no different than anything else I've tried.

150 plus shipping and tax. There were 14 sold, I texted my girlfriend, she immediately texted back, and they were already sold out.

I've been told by MD support that this pan has no manufacturer's warranty. Is this a grey market item or something?

So.. got it and this isn't what I ordered. This was advertised as a cast iron handle and it's a stainless steel handle, big difference. I have nine other pieces with cast iron handles and this one is very different. Was there a mistake on the vendor's side? Or was the advertisement misleading? Did anyone else get their order yet? Not sure what to do.

snugglepig5000I too, just recieved my order today and was dismayed that it was not what I ordered as well. I had ordered under the impression that I was getting the 2.5mm copper with the cast iron handle and when I opened up the box saw that it was not cast iron as advertised and shown in the pictures but had the stainless steel electroplated handle. I feel like this is a bait and switch. I had previosly ordered the 8 inch with cast iron handle and that was exactly what i ordered and wanted. This is very disappointing. I will be contacting support to see what may be done on this.

While your link is valid and Mauviel does indeed make a set withe electroplated stainless steel, they also make (or maybe made now) the same sets/pieces with cast iron. Most prefer the cast iron as it helps to counterbalance the heavier pan and is not as slick as the stainless steel and offers better grip. Plus others simply like/want the cast iron handle for is rustic appeal.
While I agree that the thickness and lining are key to a great pan, the drop clearly stated cast iron handle and that is what most of us thought we would be getting when we jioned trhe drop.

Isn't it customary to put a "limited to X units" when applicable?

Same here, i almost got the 150s anyway but decided to wait, happened to be checking my email right as the email for this drop arrived so I quickly jumped on it knowing it would likely be very popular.

Nice, I commented a week or two ago that the M150 10" pan was too thin for my taste but the M250c would be perfect, and here we are.
Not really sure where you guys found these since Mauviel doesn't sell it anymore(outside of the sets anyway), and they go for $350-450+ on ebay, but in any case, order placed.

KabooseWhat's the difference between the 150c and the 250c? Just diameter?

the C stands for Cast iron handle. They also have B and S handles (bronze and stainless)
