Mine came just fine no blems looks great. Read true and has good build qualities. Its a small pocket compass a back up much better then any button compass I have even seen. Would I use it on a major hike, no that is not what it is for. If I had to use it on a major hike would it work? Yes it would but we would have to work with in the accuracy of the compass. If I was in a survival situation I would be glad I had this with me. I did a review of this compass on my YouTube Channel

good for emergency purposes. really quite small, so don't expect amazing precision, but the portability can't be beat. easy enough to carry that it just kind of fades into the background, but if you're ever in a situation where you'd need it, it'll be plenty capable of giving you your bearings at a glance. i haven't put it through any major abuse but it seems quite durable and the machining quality is very fine.

Mine came apart almost immediately. It was just in my pocket with my other EDC stuff and when iIwent to empty my pockets at the end of the day I found that the back had come off and the compass had popped out of the housing. I put it back together (sort of) but if it can’t survive my pocket there is no reason to bother with it. I was very disappointed.

BradjaniNo, I did Not have enough invested to chase them down to make it right. I will however remember the lack of quality when considering purchases in the future.

Looks great, but hard to get an accurate reading...really needs to be liquid filled to dampen it. I've had button compasses at a third of the price that worked better.

For the price, the compass should have been liquid filled. My compass has to be tilted at about 20 degrees for the face to be flat and more accurate.
