I actually just picked up the ES100 last week and I'm not looking back! It leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to build quality, but more than makes up for it with functionality/features. Really surprised how much power this tiny thing has, there really isn't anything out there that competes with it in the same price range right now, as far as I know.
je11yBeen using mine for over a year on the road and at the office, there is nothing wrong with it's build quality. They opted for lightweight components and I support that as I usually clip it to my shirt and wrap the excess cabling around it. Never feels like it's pulling on my clothes, a "better build feel" would have made it heavier.
I'm assuming the pins stick out on these with no surrounding protection? I say this as they specifically state compatible with nuforce edc3 but the round connector with proximity to the housing would seem to preclude the connector. Can someone confirm or deny this?
Got mine a few days ago. I regret to say that this does not go together well with the Massdrop Plus IEMs. It sounds like there's constantly people turning over rainsticks in the background when audio is coming through, and siblance is extra harsh. I suspect that the output impedance from the built in source components is the issue, but it could also just be compression from the BT signal not playing well with the emphasized treble in the MD+.
Cattycake1988Probably the OI or just a poor analog stage outright. I've used Bluetooth receivers from Sony, Fiio, and Radsone (EarStudio ES100 is my current fave) with the MD Plus (and Etys, and other beaters) without issue... Trading the stock cables for a shorter one makes it a sleeker setup with better battery life and versatility than the necklace type BT receiver.
For those that are considering this, try out TRN BT10 from AliExpress or Amazon. The 0.78mm 2-pin version works well for my EDC 3 after the stock cable broke. Comes in 0.75mm and MMCX too, and a better value proposition.
IzzatI am glad that I read your comment. The TRN BT10 is a much better deal. Directly from aliexpress, half the price and no taxes. Insta buy without having to wait for a drop. 100% recommended. I am using it with Noble X.
So, credit to someone on drop who mentioned this in another post, but Clear Tune Monitors makes an awesome 2pin cable bluetooth 5.0 that's compatible with the EDC3s and others. Yes, it's 50 bucks plus shipping, but no issues whatsoever. New idea for drop....get a collaboration with CTM.

Yes, last Thursday they asked me what IEM I was using and the impedance. Sent a message back immediately, and have heard nothing since. Have tried other IEM’s and gotten the same result. 2.5hrs of use and 2.5hrs to charge. Have ordered another BT cablethat should arrive this week that supposedly gets 7-8hrs per use. Hopefully.
A Clear Tune Monitors (CTM) Wireless Cable is a much better option than this. For $10 more, you get Bluetooth 5.0 & 10 hrs. of battery life. You also get a much better remote control.
