You can get a Crucial MX500 for the same price, 5 years of warranty, and at the end it's essentially the same technology. The only advantage of this one is the endurance, but the 100TB of the MX500 seem enough for regular users. Maybe for $50 this would have sense.
The title and description for this product is wrong. It states 6GB/s in both the title and specs when in reality it's 6Gb/s which is 8 times slower (and normal for SSDs).
S*** I almost bought a 2TB on of these the other day.... I want to get one, was hoping this drop would offer that size. If it was anything under 350 I would've signed up.
This is stupidly overpriced for a second rate brand. You can regularly find 256gb drives from from reputable brands like samsung on sale for much less than this drive. If you are paying anything more than $60 for a 256 drive and it's not something like an EVO, you are getting jipped.
ArdaisWhy are you saying that this is a second rate brand? Micron products are normally marketed as Crucial. This is one is a solid brand. This particular model offers encryption and 3D NAND technology, similar what Samsung PRO offers.
