I purchased this to use in our Class B motor home (small), unfortunately an illness in the family has left no time to camp and try out the Grater. However, it does store nicely in the small space allotted for kitchen items, and for this reason it gets high marks. Additionally the box is of good enough size that several small condiment containers can be stored inside.

So, it is just a microplane. But it is a really good one. Also does great as a cheese grater for salads. Small and compact. Great product.

Grater functions well, but after a while of using it, I think it would better suited for camp kitchen than normal kitchen. That said, I still use it quite a bit, and sometimes even prefer it over my larger Microplane box grater. It does seem to be sturdier than any other Microplane products I've purchased before (they tend to crack in the plastic around the metal inserts, but this newer one seems to be better designed to avoid that).

I bought this because of the microplane name. All other items have been better then this item. The idea is great (excuse the pun) but it is difficult to clean especially the receiver vessel. The grating area is somewhat smaller than I was expecting

It seemed like a great little gadget in theory but in practice it doesn't work very well. The surface area is not big enough and I have cut myself on this more than once.

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Grates pretty much anything you need to an excellent degree.

Convenient!
No real faults. It's only about as tricky to clean as one would expect. It has stayed fairly sharp, and makes quick work of ginger and garlic.
