Established in 1984, Italy-based Milano Straps has been making fine watch straps for decades. This drop features the classic Epsom leather strap Read More
Part of the reason for buying third-party watch straps is that you can get the length customized to your wrist. Stock straps are made longish, at least plus 1 sigma over the mean wrist size, so that most of the buyers can wear it. If you have a biggish wrist, that is great, but most users will have a strap that is too big. To make matters worse, stock straps have too many tine holes, so that people with smaller wrists can still wear the strap, tucking in the long flapping tongue in a keeper.
These Milano straps come in a fixed length, just like stock straps that come with watches, so they are not so appealing to me.
As for the colors, they are not very masculine, but then again, Italian men's fashion is not very masculine from the perspective of Americans.
Hey all, apologies for the confusion. I set this drop up with the incorrect options, we are going to take the sale down for now and re-launch it with the correct configuration.
The Epsom strap description says: "Lug width: 20 x 18 mm, 22 x 20 mm, or 24 x 20 mm"
However, the drop down is only showing 18mm, 19mm, 20mm widths even when the strap choice is set to Epsom.
Just weighing in here since this is a new brand for Massdrop. I found them on eBay a while back and have 2 of the Saffiano leather straps. They’re cheaper than these styles, but I can definitely say they’re worth the money quality wise. They quickly molded to the wrist and feel more substantial than all of my other straps. Like the saffiano leather that I have, the epsom and barenia leather are high end Italian products that are usually used for handbags (Hermes). I’m excited about this drop since Milano usually only does 15-20% off once in a blue moon
