Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Look at the Sennheiser HD600,650,and 660. All same dynamic driver tech, but different sonic signatures. Looking at the video, it is very hard to tell the drivers apart. The rest of the headphone's parts are interchangeable. Yet reviewers and owners say the 3 models all sound different.
I owned the Bauer & Tates (identical to this drop so far as I can tell.) I thought they sounded find and were quite comfortable. The headband and plastic parts seem a bit cheap. A very nice phone for $80 (or $70 for the Cyberwhatever version).
M&J has other products besides headphones. They just introduced a new top of the line preamp and amp. https://www.whathifi.com/news/mitchell-johnson-uncover-flagship-800-series-amplifiers-bristol-show.
Don't know if specs would describe all the differences or not. What spec tells which headphone has the largest soundstage? The most focus? It gets complicated fast.
In my post I'm referring to the other brands mentionend in the comments selling headphones with the same technology, looking identical to the GL2 but for a fraction of the cost. They cost less, look the same but do they sound like the GL2? How they sound is the important factor. Cheap but poor audio representation is a waste of money.
