The twist mechanism broke when I went to replace the ink cartridge. I brought the pen into a Mont Blanc store and they informed me it's not a genuine MB product. The barrel and external parts were authentic but all of the internals were plastic and they should be brass. The service rep said it was one of the more convincing fakes he'd seen. They actually serviced the pen for me, and put a replacement mechanism in the twist top so big ups to MB customer service.
