Seems like the brand name changes over the years but this exact knife, handle, design, blade shape and material has been around for many years. I bought one with an orange handle in the late 1980's at a gun show and still have it. The blade is sharp and can take a beating, mine is still fully operational and sharp. Only heads up is, if you use it to cut an acidic fruit, wash/wipe the juice off right away, otherwise the blade will show stains. I highly recommend this, esp for the price, you get your money's worth!

ElectroMikeI actually love the stains... over time, with care, the carbon blade will develop a really cool patina. Some people will actually force the patina in cool patterns. It's a characteristic of carbon that I think makes it a love hate with a lot of people. Very good price for a great knife!!

ElectroMikeYou're right, they have been around for a long time. I don't know if the company has gone through any name/ownership changes, but this design has stood the test of time.

ElectroMikeFrosts, KJ Eriksson, and the other local Mora knife factories gradually merged, eventually becoming Morakniv in 2011. In the 1980s you'd have probably bought a Frosts Mora.
You can check the old catalogs if you're curious: https://morakniv.se/en/historical-product-catalogs/
