How would this work for playing wow, I'm not exactly sure sadly what my computer is running now but to have 40fps I have to have the games graphics set on like...3/10...and id really like to be somewhere like 6 or 7 out of 10.
Jared420For WoW, Tom's Hardware claims 57.8 fps max and 47 min at quality preset 7 at 1080p: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx-460,4707-4.html
The review is for a 4GB model, rather than this 2GB one. This shouldn't be an issue with WoW because it probably won't be using more than 2 GB VRAM at medium settings and gentle AA to sustain high frame rates. Caveat emptor, however. Logical Increments claims 55-60 fps but they've recently removed their star ratings, which correspond to detail settings.
Just a note, WoW, along with other MMOs in general, is heavily CPU bound compared to other types of games and demands more disk access as well. If you have a weaker CPU then this upgrade may not help. Blizzard lists the i5-3330 and FX-6300 as recommended processors: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/world-of-warcraft-legion
I want a cheap and reliable card mostly for light titles and esports games, would this be a good option or would I want to aim for something better? I don't need 1060-level performance but I do want to play some triple-a games down the line. What are some recommended GPUs for me? I don't want to spend more than $200 at max.
Darth_PinkTry looking at a GTX 970. They're cheaper now that the 10-series have been released. After a quick amazon search, I found one for around $180.
i have a 2gb card now. never again, cant wait to upgrade. just my opinion and experience. after my first build, i recommend to all my friends to wait until they get afford something better than they can afford right now.
