Ultralight Tents With Carbon Fiber Frames
Combining the protection and durability of a tent with the weight and packability of a tarp, MSR’s Carbon Reflex tents are ideal for minimalists and backpackers who want to shed pack weight. The tent body is made of a 10d micro mesh that provides ventilation and won’t trap moisture. To shave weight, the traditional aluminum poles have been swapped for lighter carbon fiber poles, and the rainfly zipper has been replaced with a hook-and-loop system. The optional footprint is coated with a Durashield waterproof coating to keep water out, and protects your tent floor from rough and abrasive surfaces.
