Though it's only the size of a standard house key, the MSTRMND keychain tool can open many more doors than the one on your front porch. It’s loaded with a whopping 20 functions—from opening bottles and tightening bolts, to splitting pills and cutting wire Read More
I gotta say...I really like the idea of having this key/tool, but the fact that it's advertised as a "20-in-1" kinda puts me off. C'mon. Staple remover, pill splitter, paint lid closer? Lotto scratcher? I can't even tell if they're being serious.

I've heard of counterfeit products getting repo'd at customs when they come into the country. Can't you apply for some sort of protection in the same way?
I hate to be a buzzkill but I work with 304 stainless steel all the time. I sell the stuff. It's a non-hardenable steel with a high nickel content, low carbon, non magnetic. It's primarily used for it's corrosive resistance, a lawful requirement in restaurant kitchens (304 is not a knife steel). It's used in lots of stuff like car washes and counter tops, but I've never once seen it used for tools. Knowing what I know about 304, I would not buy this product.
It's more expensive than 410,420,430 because of it's suburb resistance to just about everything, but it can't be hardened. I know that all metals can be hardened by using the cold forge process, or cold hammering, but a CNC machine doesn't do that and cold hammering this thing would most likely ruin it's shape. I would just buy a Leatherman Squirt/Micra/Style for the same price. At least the Leatherman is hardened.
lol don't get so butthurt bud, I am just saying you're not comparing apples to apples. I don't like carrying anything really, and neither does most of the world the way technology is going. Soon the only thing people will carry is a smart phone; wallet and keys integrated into one device.
DecidenceI agree with you and the OP. This drop should be made with something more durable. I don't wear skinny jeans, but I have big legs and I definitely do NOT want a Leatherman on my key chain. I am trying to minimize that footprint. I think this drop is perfect for that, but I am not buying for this price/durability. Next.
Please show me where I attacked the guy? All I did is point out the ridiculous gouge on shipping as have so many others on this item and all over this site and showed that it is indeed possible through USPS to offer reasonable shipping costs. You seem to be overly sensitive, go eat a tub of ice cream or something.
How easy is it too open a bottle? Do you need to apply a lever action twice?
My complaints with these style of multitools is that the bottle opener feature isn't as user friendly as a dedicated device.
Hey guys, creator here! Sorry abut the expensive international shipping, we totally understand what a bummer that is!!! Unfortunately we can't ship these in an envelope like regular mail because the keytool and slim packaging is ridged and can't process through the machines the post office uses – so, they have to ship as a 1st class package. And what makes it worse is about a year ago the USPS changed their international rates to bundle large weight classes together. So what used to cost about $6 (for a package 2oz or less), is now $9-$13.65 depending on location (which Massdrop calculates) but that cost covers a range of weight of something like 12oz or less. We all get the short end of the stick because it's small and light-weight, but costs the same as something big and heavy. Again, sorry for the inconvenience of this and we totally share in your frustration! In any event, we thank you for the consideration.
I finally looked at the video, and see what you mean. Thanks for that! I was using the part that says it's a wire cutter... I guess that's why I was having problems. I'll try that next time I have to open a box.
