Lelouch_BritanniaAre you talking about the wireless charging function? If so, that's normal. It will periodically do that to prevent overheating, and damaging the equipment or your device. Just a safety feature!
Unit burned out after about a year of use and also noticed high pitch humming from the beginning when wirelessly charging, noise happened no mater how I aligned my phone.
Frequently overheats, even with nothing even plugged in.
I love the idea of having a backup battery and so many extra USB ports on a charger, but I've picked up my phone several times and been shocked at the temperature of both my phone and the charger itself. It doesn't just overheat with my phone on it. I have nothing plugged into it right now and the temp is about 115 F.
The power bank (a great concept to be included with the charging unit). Stopped working after one use. I thought maybe I did something with the usb connection but it looks like others have experienced the same issue.
It worked well for a couple of months, up until the external battery died. All the ports work fine still, except the USB-C port occasionally hums when I plug something into it.
I'm giving 3 stars for this, because when it works it's exactly what I wanted it for. Wireless QI charging, with extra USBs and a battery that's always ready to go. Unfortunately, the phone I'm charging on this is one of those "heavy duty" ones (a Ulefone armor), and it requires very precise placement on the charging pad to connect.
This seems specific to this Naztech charging. The other cheap, $15 QI charger I picked up a while back charges the phone no problem when you throw it on the pad, but the way the charging is set up for this specific device seems abnormally short range. At some point I'll probably crack the thing open and potentially swap out the charging circuit, but for the price on this I really shouldn't need to do that.
Wireless charging is very slow on a Pixel XL. The "sweet spot" so your phone will even charge is very small and multiple times I places my phone down to come back later and see that it wasn't charging at all.
