What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

Unlike the Pok3r, the New Poker II maps the 500ms delay key to Fn+H. That has so far made it impossible to map it to anything else, and I still haven't discovered a workaround on my Amazon-purchased NP2. A support request is in and I'll post if I find a solution, but my confidence is low. Probably going to return it and go back to my P3.
Other than that, this is a great keyboard. Love having USB-C, and it works great with my Samsung Chromebook Plus. Unsurprisingly it won't connect to an iPad Pro using only the USB-C to Lightning cable. You still have to go through the camera kit.
This morning I responded, clarifying my initial question. Also asked if they expect to provide firmware updates to cover features like this. I'll post the answer here when they reply.
Indeed it is not possible to map an arrow key to Fn+H at the moment, we might add this feature later in a firmware, but we cannot guaranty it.
We collect feedbacks and also try our best to satisfy most users, we will let you know if we ever add this feature.
Thank you for your interest in our products! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to let us know.
it seems like there's no ability to swap via dip switch, I was under the impression previous Pokers could.
