Are the insoles removable?
Omegawolf
Yes, they are.
Please have more sizes in cognac. Would have snagged a size 8
Wait, why is this massdrop already being advertised before the last massdrop of January that has yet to ship?
SunnyD
Because making money happens in one department, and fulfilling orders happens in another. The two have nothing to do with each other.
Would avoid the tan pair if you are looking for actually tan shoes - these are extremely light in color.

btw you can also darken them with shoe polish/wax if u don't like it extremely light.
Gibbs
Isn't that the idea? You know, "tan" as opposed to "brown"?
Good value. A little tight on my toe box.
That being said, massdrop, made this comment on the last drop.. why is this the 3rd time this shoe has been dropped?
Hi there! UK 8.5F Loak fits my foot. Should I go for US 10? I have wide feet.
Would be great if these were offered in W I D E sizes. My 13EEEE feet don't fit well in a 13M shoe. Alas.
JustCallMeCrash
I took a chance on these, as I have a wide fitting and a high instep in size 13. But they feel like made to measure at the minute.
Got mine today, Nice shoes, a couple of hours use and they softened up nicely. Like all leather soled shoes they will need breaking in by picking up gravel and grit. I could probably find something similar in Spain for the money, but not in my size. Nice one MD.
After a day of use: The leather has softened, the they've broken in and are more comfortable than originally. Those new to leather soles will note that the shoe is nigh unusable until the sole breaks in and provides some tread.

Hi there! The sizing was not converted for this drop. We are working with the US distributor for the brand and these are sold in US sizing according to the Brannock device.
I'm a US 9.5D in Italian shoes and a US 9.5E or 10D in the AE 65 last, which is notoriously narrow. Ecco size 43 fit me perfectly.
Finally I have got it..good value indeed.

Both yours and mine seem lighter in color than I had originally anticipated. Thoughts?
Hellreaver
I chose to live with it. Across time I believed it will aged darker.
Received mine today, they are quite tight in the width and sting a little in the back of my heel when I walk. Should they be like this? If I wear them in will they become more comfortable? I ordered a size 10 and wear a size 10 in all of my other shoes and my brannock size is damn near 10 exactly.
EDIT: I was actually sent a size 9 by mistake, I sent in a support ticket so don't mind me.
Also received shoes. I agree about the value - it's nice for that much. In terms of craftsmanship, compared to other shoes from more esteemed brands (like AE's McAllister or Dalton shoe) it pales in comparison. The feel of the leather alone gives it away. Patina is a bit of a wash - I have some uneven dark spots on my pair.
Again, for the value it is great. Top tier at Nordstrom Rack, bottom tier at Nordstrom - if that makes sense. Perfect "nice" beaters.
sangdargent
Nordstrom rack sells great clothing (for the price, obviously) - the likes of Ben Sherman, etc, but their shoes seem to be pretty low end in my opinion.
I received my shoes today. They fit well and seem like a great value for the price paid. There is nothing of note than I can find wrong with them, especially for the price.
can you guys recommend a belt to match these shoes? something not too thin...wearable with a suit, but doesn't look too conservative.
gyams
I don't recommand wearing a belt with a suit. A suit is suposed to be just at your size, and a belt just breaks the line of your body.
TeddyBeer
A man should wear a belt with his suit, unless his suit pants are designed to be worn without a belt.
what is the return policy if it doesn't fit well?
gaspipe
then you're out of luck - they're final sale.
More 10.5's please :(
W I D E sizes please
bummer, no more 11.5's.........
I signed on to order these and was sad to see the 11s are sold out!
is the insole leather?
Hi. Wanted to ask is size US 7 available for this drop?
This is such a challenging decision considering 8.5 is out of order. My dress shoes usually fit me at either 8 or 9 depending on the brand :(
Hi, is there a size chart? I'm UK10 for Lodings and Loakes.
benohzy
Hi Benohzy! A UK 10 in Loake for the most part is equivalent to a US 11.
Size US 7-7.5 should be offered as well. Maybe next time?
These look awesome! any chance for a long wing version?
Is size US 8 the smallest option? I fit in a US 7E on the Allen Edmonds...
Been wearing mine for a few weeks now, and overall I'm very pleased with them. The broguing is damn-near perfect, and pinking is pretty good, not perfect. The only small complaint I have is that the burnishing on the right toe is noticeably darker than the left, which is a bit strange to look at but not unexpected at this price point.
All things considered, this is an absolute steal. A beautiful pair of shoes all around. Would recommend, would buy again. Thanks MD.
nitrobackflip
How did you decide on size?
tahsinrk1
Ah, I knew I forgot something important. I'm a 10.5D on a Brannock device, and the 10.5 fits perfectly. A little snug in the toe box initially, but after a few days of wear they're feeling great. Go with your Brannock size, they should work.
Finally opened my pair today - and I must say, I'm a big fan. I've got a pretty healthy collection of Meermins, AEs, Carminas, and C&Js, and I can find little fault with these shoes.
Sure - the pinking isn't perfectly clean everywhere, but I see that on AEs all the time. Not the cleanest burnishing, but Meermin / AEs / Carminas can have that issue too.
Leather Quality is very similar to Loake
All in all - an absolute steal for the drop price, would not hesitate to buy again. Also - I would take these over Meermins any day.
Fit note: I'm usually somewhere between a 12D - 12E. These are fine.
