Super bright, I hardly ever use the brightest settings. The grip remote is the best feature. I ride on a prairie path and love the low beam for when people are coming towards me and a simple click for high beam after they pass.
First off it's relatively cheap yet we'll built.
Makes for a convenient on or off road light due to the dual beam patterns and surprising output.
Easy to mount being one piece makes for a much easier and convenient mounting/ removal for security purposes.
Respectable Battery life will cover the vast majority of rides.
Very informative display but I hate reading manuals and the mode selection here is a bit confusing at first.
Really cannot complain about much here. I have a Gloworm X2 that was double the price at 1 200 lumen. It had a bigger battery but that's it and it was 2 piece without the dual beam pattern like this which handicapped its commuting performance.
If I were asked to recommend a light to someone this light would be it.
Extremely happy with my purchase, this light is sturdy and solid. Very simple to use, will be very simple for me to use when i ride my bicycle in the night time in the woods. Comes with a remote button so you can turn off the high beam when you meet other riders or cars. I highly recommend this to anyone who rides their bicycle in the night time.
Very good light, and I hope it continues to evolve.
NITECORE is absolutely top notch, this light is no exception. When I purchased it, I was hoping to have a light that was more versatile than "just a bike light", but really, it's not.
I've only had it a few weeks, but haven't used it beyond charging it up and playing with it inside a couple times; it's just way too heavy and bulky for much other than a dedicated bike light. Certainly does what it says it's designed to do.
Why am I giving it only 3 out of 5 stars? Because it's a bit over build, virtually the entire body is a heatsink and its a bit heavy if you want to carry it or use it on a helmet. The display is not immediately intuitive, I had to play with it a minute or so to see how to use it; and the range of brightness isn't so wide. I wish there was just one light, not two, and I wish it would just automatically turn on full bright, then go down to medium, low and then finish at just 1 or 3 lumens for a super long lasting EDC kind of light that would last for days. Maybe I was asking/expecting too much out of this light. Certainly for the price I paid, this is a good deal and I have no regrets.
A bike light, especially one with two lamps, should at least have one with the option to strobe. Also, while it has a display, the display doesn't communicate whether one (low beam) or two of the lamps are on. Finally, be aware this light unfortunately does not have a USB-C port. All that said, the light is bright and the remote control to toggle between high beam and low beam is a great feature.
I've had mine for just over two years when it just stopped charging. When plugging it in, the buttons would blink and nothing else would happen. I had to just watch it slowly get empty and die.
Would be really cool if they were more self-repairable..
The build quality is absolute top notch though and I barely ever wished for more brightness.
