Speed90123Mine worked flawlessly. Put it on a tripod during a power failure and it easily illuminated the entire living room - could even read with it. Didn't run out of juice and lasted until we got power on the next day. May pick up another one.
They didnt include batteries because no matter what they picked you guys would have complained. Plus this is a semi expensive flashlight which means they are most likely aiming towards people who are into flashlights. And if looking at this light you probably already have batteries and the kind that you prefer.
ZenoxideIf they are the type of person who spends all day looking to save $4.00 then they will never be pleased......nothing u can do makes that group happy.
Mine arrived. First and probably last Massdrop. I feel suckered! I guess it was my bad. They didn't come with batteries or the charger. Once you buy those on your own, it is around the price that would have been charged on Amazon all along!!! Would have had it two days after order date too. Oh well, was a good ride. Not sure this is a place to save money, definitely not a place to save time.
Just got mine in about 15 minutes ago was super stoked to try it out as I got it as a gift for my dad but nope. Batteries not included, total bummer. Wouldn't have been a big deal if I was notified at the time of purchase. Very disappointed.
If this were for the TM16GT I'd be all over it. It's kinda hard to get enthusiastic about the old versions now that the GTs exist. Initially I thought it wasn't worth it to sacrifice several hundred lumens for additional throw, but BOY was I wrong! I recently got the TM26GT and I was BLOWN AWAY. The difference in throw is MASSIVE and the decrease in lumen is actually negligible to the eye once you get up into the thousands of lumens. There's a youtube video out of a (I think German) guy who does a heads up comparison between a TM26 and a GT and if you watch that you'll understand exactly what I mean. Get us some GTs, massdrop! :)
Might I ask what cells you are using?
My NCR18650GA don't yield the same difference that you seem to be having.
I'm not always pointing at things half a kilometre away, so the usable brightness and softer spot/floodier beam are actually more effective for me. i.e., spill doesn't mean waste to me.
Wasn't really looking for a laser-type beam with a multi-emitter flashlight, that's more dedomed-XP-G2-at-6A-on-a-Noctigon-DTP-board-on-a-custom-machined-copper-pill-behind-an-aspheric-type territory.
SennyThis is an unfortunate "feature" that Nitecore puts on all their lights. It's a lazy way of accomplishing reverse polarity protection. They make great lights, but they annoy a lot of people by doing this.
