As the mayor of a large urban city, I can tell you we've been using ours (with a special attachment) for years now.
Really handy when you need some help!
There are $30-60 lights that can do 1000 lumens until dead, without getting warm. That is more than plenty, for less than half the cost. You've basically proved my point it's an overpriced gimmick. I don't even like to use my flood lights capable of 6500 lumens for shooting stuff out of trees 'cause by the time I take the shot it's already unpleasant to hold.
This silly gimmick costs as much as better lights that actually have a fan built in.,..
DalamarUnclear why a "fan" keeps coming up in the conversation when lights with fans are typically in the 50,000 + lumen range (Acebeam, Imalent, etc). I have several 9,000 - 25,000 lumen lights. None of them have fans either (Astrolux, Emisar, Olight, FireFlies, Acebeam, Thrunite).
I agree though, this one is way overpriced. Their 6500 lumen Concept light featured elsewhere for $150 is a better deal in comparison. But even then, you can get a 5,000-6,000 lumen BLF SP36 for 1/3 that AND have a light that runs Anduril.
This can light paper on fire in a couple seconds. Be careful. I tried to post a video from my phone, showing me doing this but the file is not supported.
BuckfutterFor only 7 seconds! For all intents and purposes, this is really a 1,000 lumen flashlight based on its "default" setting according to the SPECS.
I’m assuming this has a built-in, non-user replaceable, battery. Which means you can’t pull out the battery and charge it separately while you put a new one in and keep going. I love my TM06. I think I’ll stick with it for now. I just wish that it didn’t drain the batteries unequally.
On my 6k nitecore the heat it throws off is ridiculous and renders the torch unusable without gloves. I still love it tho. Great beam even at 1 or 2k but my LED array is 4 in a square shape, look bigger than these
phoenixsongConsidering the shape and design it would be difficult to get a good throw distance. Six LED with short reflectors. The imalent DX80 would throw better with a 32,000 max lumen setting for up to three minutes before it throttles but is nowhere near as portable as this one.
