MD did good selecting these. I use to buy, sell, trade cables like trading cards. The heimdall & tyr are actually the best value in nordost’s line up. I went from blue heavens, red dawns and all the way up to valhallas and back down again. Also owned synergistic designers ref, tara one’s (air 2/3 is the best value), kimber 3035/8, analysis plus, kharma grand ref, siltech g5 etc. Nordost definitely holds its own up there at the top in immediacy and speed without hashness. Other audio cables I still own and keep are jena labs and siltech. I won’t even go into power cables, it will start an even worse religious debate. I am just waiting for MD to offer power cables to enjoy the show.

CablenutHave both Heimdall II interconnects and speaker cables. Third comment here today stating how I would never look back after using both. Looking to upgrade to Tyr IIs after a speaker upgrade down the road. If you have very sensitive electronics poor cables will destroy your investment.

AtreidesDon’t get me started on power cables. I have a whole exotic collection for tuning different components (including nordost, audiotechnica ref, wolff carbon, bmi, eps ...). It will lead to a devaluation of the sense of money.

CablenutI wish my hearing was as good as you. Who the hell can "hear" a power cable?

sadiqI started out with Shunyata “hospital grade” cables, and did not notice any change from OEM cables. However the Shunyata Alpha cables and power conditioning did make a difference—better definition, tighter bass. The difference in the bass was the easiest to hear. I certainly do not have golden ears, I played sax and flute in front of way too many rock bands. Best.
