I did a demo of these and they were interesting but good lord do I not want earbuds in my ears if I'm wearing over ear headphones. I also looked up alternatives and found an article saying the quick hearing test used to create the personalised hearing profiles has found pretty much no real use outside of determining whether newborn babies are deaf or not.

ramblingenzymethe hearing test actually tunes the headphones to your ears though i've listened to others use their personalized sound on my headphones and they sound different to me i prefer my sound and others prefer theirs own personalized sound, therefore, i think there's actually some customization to it

zero-0-0I didn't say that the hearing profiles weren't unique, just that the test used to generate them doesn't have much academic rigor behind it and to take things with a grain of salt.

ramblingenzymeAlso there's no way of knowing if the technology was even implemented properly or was even implemented in the headphone at all.

Showpannot a study but in my experience of testing a pair I had a while ago that I returned due to discomfort that the test definitely did something cos my personalization sounded great to me but awful to others and the same applied the other way round when personalized to others, completely intend to get anything they make after this if they solve the comfort without losing the audio.
