A fresh new spin on the iconic aviator design, the Oakley Crosshair sunglasses are stylish enough to wear around town, yet durable enough for your next backcountry adventure. Constructed from Oakley’s C-5 alloy, the frame features bits of Unobtanium in the temples and nose to help keep the glasses in place during high-intensity activities Read More
jimparkerworksI think these sunglasses are ugly, but I’m a professional pilot and they work best with a headset. I like my FiveSquare better for everyday and they will better protect my eyes.
I guess what I’m saying is get the right tool for the job. These are not fishing sunglasses. Non-pilots can wear them too, just like I wear a baseball cap even though I don’t play baseball. Keep in mind what the product was designed for.
TinyNinjaCorrect. I bought a pair of these(formerly named the Crosshair 2012) and could never find replacement parts for them. Oakley still sells the entire package, so if you scratch a lens or need new earsocks you're SOL. I switched to models that I knew I could indefinitely get parts for(Fast Jacket and Conductor 8).
numonixthanks for the heads up, I have a different frame from them and told that they would only do single vision or progressive, not bifocals. I'm surprised they won't do at least single vision on this frame.
TheHunOther places say the curve is to much so the would need to send them to Oakley. Then Oakley says they only do them when you buy from them. I found a small independent older guy that did them for me for an additional $200 so still saved $100 from Oakley’s price I just had to drive all over town like it’s the 80s or something
i think poonsauce is correct, massdrop description is ok, a little confusing but its not their fault, its the way that Oakley names their glasses regardless of the real color of the lens itself, its more a marketing confusion than whats wrong. Either way, i think oakley should do a better job into their naming.
