PrnXtarI tried to get an answer to your question as well and still don't have the information. From what I understand, German-made are the only ones of quality for this brand.

The shipping and handling cost on this item was crazy to Canada (34.50). I got my iron yesterday and DHL charged me an addtional 15.00 which made the total cost 49.50 to ship the 79.99 iron. I love the drops on this site, but the shipping is outrageous.
