My RAT1 arrived unexpectedly today. Fit and finish are good, but the handle feels slick despite its texturing. The liner locks up a bit earlier than my RAT2, which actually makes it easier to operate without feeling less secure. I think the RAT1 is too large for me to EDC, but I knew that would be the case before it arrived. Based on my RAT2 (also AUS-8 steel), I wouldn't have high expectations for the RAT2's edge retention, but that doesn't matter as much to me since it won't see much use.
After ordering this RAT1 from MD, I was inspired to pick up a RAT2, and ESEE Zancudo & Avispa. The Avispa is too large for me to EDC, which is why I knew the RAT1 would also be too large. Compared to my regular EDC ZT0808, the RAT1 has almost 0.75" additional handle length and about 0.25" additional blade length (although the cutting length of the blades is about the same).

Got my knife. Really impressed with it, honestly. I was using a Cold Steel Code 4 for a long time, but it got pretty dull and the blade had some nicks in it. I sharpened it a lot but I wasn't able to get it back to its former glory so far. Decided to get something cheap as an EDC until I got around to more properly restoring my Code 4. Didn't expect much from the price, honestly, but it's a very comfortable and sharp knife. I'm very happy with it.

I got my shipment today. I'm not up on the steel as much as more seasoned knife users, but I can say I got what I ordered. The knife seems to be well made, nothing wobbles and the blade is sharp. Time will tell how good it is, but so far for the price of the drop I'm perfectly happy.

Awaiting confirmation! We are still in contact with the vendor and just awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing Tuesday morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect the group's individual packages to ship.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Ontario RAT1 Forest Green Exclusive and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 12/20.

I bought one of these a few years ago. It come very sharp out of the box. Be careful. I cut my finger to the bone and nearly took the tip off when it slipped in my hand.
It is a great knife though. Great lockup, holds good in hand. Just be careful.

Hello all - Those who have joined this drop on or before 11/23 should have received an email by now clarifying the details for this knife which has an AUS-8 blade and a Nylon-6 handle. The details haven't changed since, but I want to be sure that everyone is in the know. Again, many apologies for the mis-information earlier in this drop!! I wish I could blame it on a turkey coma but that certainly wasn't the case, just big ole mistake that we wish we would have caught sooner. Thank you again for your understanding. Cheers -
