Damn shame they didn't include the new versions of the Bambino. The version with the roman numerals and slimmer hands is gorgeous. If anybody was hoping for that version, I'll be starting a poll for that one.

RockyPatelDoes the new version has an improved band? I was very tempted to get this one until I found complaints about the band durability as well as the difficulty to get a replacement that matches perfectly.

dropsAt this price point, it is very rare to get nice bands. A good quality real alligator band would be more than 100$ on its own.

dropsThe bands appear to be the same, I've seen the same complaints on Amazon about the band on the 2nd and 3rd gen versions. The Bambino has 21mm lugs (why the hell they would choose an oddball size like that is beyond me), but there are plenty of replacements out there if you look, and I imagine a 20mm strap would look fine. Show me someone who can spot a 1mm gap from a meter off, and I'll show you Superman. I wear a 20mm NATO strap on my Orient Ray, which has 22mm lugs. Aside from being a nod to Sean Connery's portrayal of Bond, it also makes the watch look a little beefier, and the 2mm of play are hardly noticeable.

payodpandaSadly, I was so tied up the couple of days the deal was up I missed my own damn drop. I imagine they'll bring it back, though. Fingers crossed.

RockyPatelYeah, the drop sold out in under 2 days so it was in and out relatively quickly. We're working with Orient to coordinate more drops based on their inventory, so keep your eyes peeled!
