CharlieUKMost likely not. Cheaper Orients are assembled elsewhere in Asia, but the movement originated from Japan.

plinThanks for your speedy reply 'plin'... would you happen to know if 'any' Orient watches are Made in Japan? I'm trying to determine if there are two variants of the same model!

CharlieUKOrient has a higher end line of watches under the brand Orient Star. I believe those are made in Japan.

CharlieUKLikely all mako/ray variants are made at the same location. You may need to look at a pro saturation diver for a Japanese made model. Much more expensive.

Vincent.HThe movement is, but the watch is likely assembled outside of Japan. You can tell by the text on the dial. It says "JAPAN MOV'T" as opposed to "Made in Japan."
