Characterized by its bold, easy-to read dial, there’s no mistaking the Orient Mako XL, especially underwater—which is perhaps where it gets its name, in reference to the Mako shark. With large white indexes and a bright orange dial, the watch is highly visible; the lumed, spear-shaped hands and lumed markers only enhance the clarity Read More
NOT THAT IT'S RELEVANT...
But it finally dawned on me why I've always been a little put off by Orient's logo!
As an avid ex-smoker (quit in '98), Orient's logo has probably been setting off little subliminal warning bells in my brain, each time they drop--and now I understand why!
Coincidence? I think not!

So, this is the older version that still has the pusher for the date. The newer version no longer has this as the caliber used is also newer & updated (hacking & winding).
Guess MD had some older batch lying around and is now dumping it here?
Very nice dial--not the usual sun ray look, a little more matte? I could live with the date pusher, but I'd have to go with the winder if forced to make a choice between the two. Anyway, again, very nice combo!
How many of the Full Lume dial model were there? 2? Why is it that all the good models from Seiko and Orient get sold out within minutes? Its not a drop if you can't arrange more than 2 pieces.
While it's quite possible your twenties may be a distant blur in the rearview mirror of life, but it's pretty clear you haven't lost your twenty-something accent yet, "bro"!For young men in their 30's and 40s, I recommend using no more than three non-essential "like"-s in any one sentence, and no more than 10 examples in any extended phone conversation (or text message). I also recommend the complete elimination of the words dude, brah, and bro from any conversation--unless you happen to find yourself at a bonafide Dude Ranch, speaking to a person about a woman's brassiere and wishing you had a remembered to pack your bromide. An unlikely occurrence, but not entirely impossible.
Meantime, for more help with that "like" tic, check out this handy reference guide:

Got mine today, woot! I took the metal band off and put on a nato right away. Those hollow end links are chintzy. But the watch is great value and beautiful.
