A collaboration between Orient and Subaru, the SpeedTech STI is based on the Subaru BRZ GT300 race car—and it has some really unique racing cues to show for it. The first one is the power reserve indicator at 10. Marked with an E and F just like a fuel gauge, the complication tracks the power in the Orient 40R56 22-jewel movement. The second cue is on the stainless steel case, where a blue ring of aluminum (the same color you’ll find on the BRZ GT300) is sandwiched between the bezel and crown. Furthermore, the SpeedTech STI has a skeletonized, carbon fiber dial to showcase the movement, almost like peeking in at the engine. For visibility, the hour and minute hands have white lume, while the seconds hand is tipped in red. To control the time, use the crown at 2; to control the bezel, use the knob at 4. To top it off, the watch is 100-meter water resistant to protect the goods under the hood.
