I am too lazy to read this entire thread to see if this was mentioned but I would like to reiterate my endorsement of the Orient Star Classic. The bracelet clasp is machined which is nice at this price point. It is not quite the security of one on the Citizen Nighthawk but it feels more secure than the clasp on the Seiko SARB033.

MrJamesDuffyI received mine a day ago. Have to disagree lightly about the bracelet clasp. I see the tell-tale signs of die-stamping and folding on most of the clasp. Logo on clasp is surely stamped rather than engraved. Some minor parts machined from solid billet. It's certainly a good bracelet, but really it is on-par with other $300-$400 watches.

BF_HammerFair enough. The hinge mechanism is machined but the "claspy" part of the clasp is indeed stamped. I still stand by my testimony on how secure and solid it feels and darn good for sub-$300 USD. Only the Citizen Nighthawk clasp beats it in the price range.
