I got mine on 2nd Jan (Europe, Poland). Outer box was intact, inside a smaller box was wrapped in a bubble foil, fine as well. All works fine so far. Looks great and classy (black one). My only worry is that there's no date of sale nor seller stamp on the warranty. @TomasV how is it going to work in case I need to service the watch? I need a proof of purchase with a date, don't I?

gustaff.weldonHi there Gustaff, Orient USA has let us know that you can contact them directly with any warranty service request. They have logs of purchases from our system.
Let me know if this information helps.

Vincent.H@Vincent.H Hi Vincent, Sorry for a late reply. Does that mean that any servicing needs to be done in the US or would Orient USA issue on request some kind of proof of purchase document that could be used in Europe as well? Thanks,
Skol

Received mine in Spain on 30th Dec,  All intact and working, although the watch box itself was floating about inside the main box as the 'large bubble internal packaging' had given up the ghost, and popped??. Although the external box was undamaged. I really like the watch itself (red version) and its keeping good time, very happy with it.

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. Hopefully it will be in working condition. would be very bad to have paid around 150€ for a "new watch" that doesn't work.

Disturbed on my first purchase to read about these broken watches/ boxes. Still waiting for mine in OZ. Is it coming by air or slow boat?

Got my red one today as well, no problem so far. The red is definitely on the blingly side. The package is actually quite well padded. No complaints

Well, I just received my white one and it was broken right out of the box . Took it out of the watchbox to set up and wear and the second hand rotates freely left and right whenever I rotate the watch ! And still waiting for Massdrop to tell me what to do ! Still wrapped in the saran wrap material ! Did not even get a day to wear it ! It sucks...very dis appointed and may-never buy from Massdrop again.

Hi Bondue and any others who have received this watch. Mine arrived in OZ in perfect cond BUT I have a real problem adjusting the day. To get the day to move from say wed to thurs I have to go through the 23.30 to 4.30 procedure twice before the day fully changes from one to the next. The first time the hand only moves halfway. On the 2nd procedure should the date automatically click over? Love the watch but hate the date/day manouvre.

Just got my red one. It is quite blingy in the face (which I wanted as I have no other red watch). If you have ever seen shiny red anodized aluminum, it looks just like that. While I love the red color, I now realize my older eyes need a higher contrast than white print on a red background to see easily without my reading glasses on.. Still think the red is awesome though. I do wish they went with a easier to read thicker font in the date window though, but again, that's my age speaking! The only lume is on the hour and minutes hands, but it seems decent enough. The 3d effects on the dial are very nice in the light as are the applied markers since they add depth to the dial. I do wish it had a signed crown that was lined instead of knurled since the rest of the watch design says "military dressy" and the knurled crown looks too industrial.
The movement is rather plain with only the rotor having any embellishment with simple purloining (sp?). I'm OK with that at this price range although I do wish the non-finished areas could be shinier instead of so matte. This movement is supposed to be robust. It's too soon to know accuracy, but I have watch tools I can use to open and adjust it if it's too far off, so not really a concern to me as long as it's consistent. Setting the day of week hand is a bit finicky. You turn the time adjustment until the hand flips to the next day of the week, then back time past 11 and go forward again until it flips again and again until the day of week is set, then set the time and date. As far as I can tell, the 24 hour dial is slaved to regular time, so this is not a two time-zone watch (I guess I could read the manual, but that's too much work).
The overall quality is great. The end pieces (the part the that fills the gap between the lugs) are solid machined pieces, as opposed to the stamped thin sheet metal end pieces normally seen at this price range. The lugs themselves are drilled through versus a dimple only on the inside. Makes it MUCH easier to compress the pin and change bands if you'd like. The band links are all solid with a mix of brushed and polished areas. It uses split pins, but I'm OK with split pins, not as strong or precise as solid screw in pins, but you don't see screw in link pins until a MUCH higher price point, and split pins are very easy to adjust and replace. The clasp is also very nicely machined and closes solidly with the Orient logo, however one side of the clasp where the bracelet attaches has a bit of a gap between the last link and the clasp. Orient should have made the top of the clasp 1/8 inch longer to cover this. Not a deal breaker by far, but annoys me because I can see it.
I am quite happy with the purchase price vs quality and the lustrous red makes me feel all pimped out!

@Massdrop. Received my watch and it appears to be in working condition. Which is quite surprising given that the box it came in looked as if somebody not only kicked it, but also ripped it open as one of the sides was pretty much completly gone upon arrival. Love you Massdrop but you may want to look into the quality of your deliviery services.
